"Hi. I get poison ivy as often as a dog eats so when I saw your product at CVS; I figured I'd give it a try. Well, I just used Tecnu Extreme for the second time and am forcing myself to stop and tell you how great I think it is. I have never written a letter to a company about a product before. I mountain bike competitively and live in Texas where poison ivy is almost overwhelming on certain trails. It is extremely rare that I can finish a race and not get the rash by the next day. I've tried everything to avoid poison ivy but have basically resigned myself to getting the rash and just dealing with. Poison ivy is never dormant and if you burn wood in the winter and it is on or in the bark you can get it. Spring cleaning around my home, fall clean up, I get it. "I wonder why there are other products on the market after having used Tecnu Extreme. The results are nothing short of miraculous as far as I'm concerned. After working in the woods behind my yard, I got a poison ivy rash so terrible that I had to go to the doctor, get a steroid shot, and start taking a steroid regimen for a week. While the medication started to take effect, absolutely none of the anti-itch or pain relief products seemed to do any good. In fact, the rash appeared to be constantly spreading despite the medicine I was taking. A friend of mine suggested Tecnu Extreme even though the rash had already appeared, in order to make sure the oils were washed away.
